Viral videos. Sometimes they don’t make sense and you just don’t know why they exist. This new viral video, “What Does the Fox Say?” is a perfect example of an unnecessary video. Why? Just…why?
However, one of the beautiful things about these viral videos is that every now and then you see something that warms your heart and makes you thankful for the internet. Take the story of the Dairy Queen worker, Joey Prusak. I saw this story yesterday and I am disappointed that I didn’t click on the story until today.
Joey saw a blind man drop a $20 bill on the floor. Another customer in the store saw the blind man drop the money as well, except she picked it up and pocketed it. Joey confronted the woman and when she wouldn’t return the money, he asked her to leave the restaurant and gave the man $20 from his own pocket.
It seriously made me tear up. I hope that, one day, if/when I have a son he is just as courteous. I can only imagine how proud his parents are.
This 19-year-old kid stood up for what was right which is so rare and so refreshing. Not only that, but so many people visited that Dairy Queen just to thank this kid and show their appreciation. So many times people won’t stand up for the right thing and when
someone finally does, they get looked at like they have three eyes.
I would love to see more good news like this go viral. Hat’s off to Joey. The fact that he took this wrong-doing so personally just warms my heart.
