Happy Month of Nicole! (That’s March, in case you didn’t get that.)
My birthday is Friday the 7th, but my due date was March 26th so I like to celebrate the entire month: the 1st through the 31st.
So now you’re wondering how the start of the Month of Nicole has been thus far. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you.
Saturday started out with a delicious breakfast all by my lonesome and Bob Evans. You may think that sounds awful, but I got to read and gorge myself on biscuits and sausage gravy. Yum, yum, yum. I spent the rest of the morning and late afternoon binge watching Scrubs and knitting my soon-to-be $100 blanket. It was super relaxing.
Later that evening, some friends and I meandered down to the Ronald McDonald House in Washington, DC to serve dinner for those families whose time is spent at the hospital.
When my sister was hospitalized in Colorado, my family was fortunate enough to be able to stay at a similar place. The warm, home-cooked meals were a small comfort during an extremely terrifying time.
I would do it again in a heartbeat a million times.
Sunday was a completely relaxed day which made it an excellent day. My sisters’ dog spent the night with me and my pup on Saturday night. So, we woke up and walked and pottied and ate breakfast and watched TV and worked on knitting the big blanket and gave the dogs a bath and went to church. It was absolutely wonderful.
Monday was a snow day. I know so many people are tired of all of the snow, but I enjoyed my day off/working for home. I didn’t do anything and it was a wonderful start to my birthday week.
Happy Month of Nicole!
