I’m back after a brief birthday break! I’m sorry if you’ve been missing me.
As a completely beautiful twenty-something approaching 30, you may think that I’m starting to dread my birthdays. This is not so. I love my birthday in a healthy way; I don’t go around shouting it to the world.
I like spending time with people who love me. So some brief highlights of my birthday include: Colorado Beer Night at the local Tap House, Applebees with family, tiramisu cake, and giving my pregnant cousin an adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book “The Place You’ll Go” called “Oh, Baby, The Places You’ll Go: A Book To Be Read In Utero.”
Saturday. Oh Saturday.
I ate breakfast at Bob Evans. I LOVE their sausage gravy. Homestead Breakfast all the way.
We then went to a Beer Tasting in DC. They give you 2-ounce glasses, but it’s amazing how quickly you can get your buzz on with a 2-ounce glass. We figure we drank 6+ beers in 2.5 hours.
Then we found out that in order to impersonate a University of Illinois alumni all you have to do is talk about the Jamba Juice in the Illini Center.
The final part of my birthday celebration was going to see the Washington Capitals play. It looked no good for awhile, but that DC team pulled it out and won 3-2. Just for my birthday.
And those were my not-so-shenanigans.
