Well, the fiancé and I now know how to be married. After 20 hours of marriage preparation graciously provided by the church, we now know how to fight and how to raise kids. We know each other’s religious beliefs and viewpoints on finances.
In case you are wondering, I am not being sarcatic. Despite being in the basement of a church, it was not hell. It was a really great experience. Even my non-believing betrothed got a lot out of the session.
At least that’s what he told me. And if he is, he’s going against everything we learnef this weekend.
Seriously, he did. The weekend wasn’t all
Praise Jesus and he will make it a happy marriage.
It presented legitimate ways to make your marriage successful. That was in there, sure. But it was the last part of the last day.
(Now here’s my plug for the church … even though I am not actually going to tell you which church.)
You know what? I even learned a lot about my church. Why we believe some of what we believe. It makes me wish you didn’t have to try so hard to learn accurate information after 8th grade. I even think people would take our religion as less of a joke if they knew or the members of he church could explain these things.
Education. Always important.
So that’s my little update on life since you guys haven’t gotten any entertaining posts lately.
