I know it’s not good when I start every post with an apology for why I haven’t been posting lately. The thing is…this post was already written and I didn’t even post it. How’s that for being lazy?
Maybe if someone wanted to pay me and give me health insurance for posting, I’d post more often. The man’s keeping me down though: I have to do real work for a living. Boo.
In the meantime, I celebrated my one year anniversary on WordPress. Yay!
Anyhow, here’s how the second day of my trip to Colorado went.
Day two in Colorado Springs was amazing as is every day in Colorado Springs. The mountains with their peaks still cradled in snow and yet still able to stretch so high they nearly touch the clouds – and sometimes they do! – are so reassuring off in the distance.
I met my sister after her exam and we were off for the day. We went spent a good portion of the day wondering around the Garden of the Gods. I got some really amazing pictures. You can see them below! I’m so talented, aren’t I?
We walked on a couple of trails and jumped from rock to rock.
We went back to her apartment and watched Frozen. It was a good movie, but I have to say that all of the singing got a little tiring. Olaf and Sven were clearly my favorite. Sven particularly because he reminded my of my pup Miranda – totally spastic and out of control and a complete and total klutz.
We picked up the my cousin from USAFA and went to dinner. It was absolutely delicious. I wanted to go to get ice cream, but by the time we got to Coldstone all of the alfredo I had eaten was screaming at me from my stomach. I had eaten too much.
The woes of a sensitive stomach. Before my knee surgery back in 2010, my surgeon asked me if I had any concerns. I asked him if he could give me some medication to control my nausea when I woke up. It was a good thing he did.
Anyhow, I was up sick all night. Oh joy. Consequences? It was yet another trip when I couldn’t do the Pike’s Peak Incline. Sickness and rain has kept us from scaling that peak. I am so frustrated! I can do it. I will do it.
