Guess what today is!!
It’s the day that I mailed my wedding invitations!
Invitations are mailed, dresses are bought, favors are bought, hairpieces are prepared, dress fitting is scheduled, hair and makeup appointments are scheduled, vendors are booked, and everything is falling into place. We’ve only had one minor scheduling hiccup, but that’s resolved.
The only things left are to pay the money and fit into my dress. Those are the worst. Weddings should be free and calories shouldn’t exist.
I’ve started dieting. Dieting! I’m not a fan of it. It’s the first one that I’ve ever done. I’m a proponent of eating whatever you want as long as you exercise and don’t overdo it on the eating side.
But now, I’m reading the nutrition facts on my beloved popcorn and only eating, like, two handfuls. I’ve got a shelf of low-cal, good-for-you snacks at my desk and my lunch is made by a company whose name has the word “Healthy” in the title. I’m running more, just so I can eat more. Every mile I run is another Rice Krispie Treat I can have. I’ve given up cookies because one doesn’t fill me up and it’s approximately 1/15 of my daily calorie intake – if I don’t exercise.
I never thought I’d be on a wedding diet, but wedding dress alterations can get expensive, especially when you have to let it out. I’m going to diet until the big day and then I’m going to eat until my zipper breaks! (My aunt’s catering food is AH-mazing and then we’re going to have S’mores, so…
